Montafon was the first World Cup of the season, Coming in felt pretty good, I had had a great training block coming into the world cup but i just didn’t feel really fast, at least the way I wanted too, But I proved to myself that I definitely wasn’t slow, I qualified in 2nd place just behind Stian Stevertson but what was even better was that both of us were half a second ahead of 3rd place.
Race day came around and it did not go as planned, got in the gate for the first heat and had a bad pull but was still in a good position to advance but as we came into the second turn I was flying, I made one pass and had the speed to go into first and I went for it!! But went inside and the Russian in first pushed me straight into the fence for one epic fall.
